Daigle is gebore in Lafayette, Louisiana, en het van kleintyd af reeds gesign. Toe sy 15 jaar oud was het sy ‘n ernstige siekte opegedoen en moes vir twee jaar tuis onderrig word. Lauren Daigle’s single “You Say” a Record 62 weeks at the #1 spot on Christian music charts

Grammy Award winner Lauren Daigle’s single “You Say” has topped the Christian music charts for 62 weeks – a record! In January 2020, this powerhouse will go on her first world tour (Lauren Daigle World Tour) and she will tour 44 cities, starting in Melbourne, Australia.
You Say won Daigle the Grammy for “Best Contemporary Christian Music and Performance” in February 2019 and her album “Look Up Child” won “Best Contemporary Christian Music Album” at the same ceremony. Of “You Say”, Daigle says that her songs, “spread the message of hope and unity, and that given the ‘crazy times’ in the world right now, people want to have love and truth to hold on to.”
Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, Daigle was singing around the house at a young age. When she was 15-years old, a serious illness (Cytomegalovirus, an immune disease) had her homebound for two years, where she was home schooled. During this time she began to serve as Praise and Worship leader at her local church. She tried out for American Idols in 2010 and 2012 and learnt some valuable lessons as a result.
After school, she studied Child and Family Studies at Louisiana State University. She helped a local band to record a song, the song made it to the Centricity Music label and Daigle was signed as a solo artist in 2013. Her first album, “How Can It Be” was very successful. Thereafter she recorded an album with Christmas songs (Behold), and her third album “Look Up Child” was even more successful than the first! The rest, as they say, is history!

Lyrics:

You Say
Lauren Daigle
I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?
Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know (ooh oh)
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours
And I believe (I), oh I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe

The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity, (ooh oh)
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours
And I believe (I), oh I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
Oh, I believe

Taking all I have and now I’m laying it at Your feet
You have every failure God, and You’ll have every victory, (ooh oh)
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours
And I believe (I), oh I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe

Oh I believe (I), yes I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
Oh I believe (oh)
